Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Piaget (ranked 4077 p4p, 24882 weight class) and Daniel Son Karate (ranked 482 p4p, 677 weight class). Daniel Son Karate told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jacques Piaget! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Son Karate! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piaget with a nice calf kick. Piaget throws a body shot but no joy. Karate lands with a straight right. Piaget didn't see that one coming. Piaget tries to land a front kick but Karate steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Karate lands with a hook. Piaget tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Piaget throws a head kick that misses. Piaget uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Karate. That kick from Piaget tenderised Karate's leg. Karate is trying to keep his angry face on. Karate throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Piaget thinks about countering with a body kick. Karate tests Piaget's chin there with a solid looking shot. Piaget lands a leg kick that knocks Karate off balance momentarily. Daniel Son Karate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Karate swings for the body but Piaget moves out of range.
Piaget throws a body kick that misses and Karate cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Karate throws a leg kick that is checked and Piaget counters with a nice uppercut. Karate connects with a body shot that sends Piaget's belly button to the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piaget misses with a kick to the body.
Piaget finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Karate! But no joy. Piaget avoids the body shot from Karate.
Piaget lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Karate looks to land a right hand but Piaget moved out of range. Piaget misses with a head kick.
Karate misses with a lunging right hand
and Piaget counters with a nice leg kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Piaget. Karate throws a sloppy head kick and Piaget moves out of range easily. Piaget slips under a jab from Karate. It appears Piaget was looking to counter with a kick there. Piaget uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Karate.
Piaget moves out of range of the strikes. Piaget throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piaget moves out of range of the body kick. Piaget tried to counter with a leg kick but Karate avoided it. Piaget moves forwards but Karate connects with a nice, crisp jab. Karate misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Piaget makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Karate really felt that one! Karate looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karate throws a big shot that misses. Karate throws a lazy uppercut
and Piaget counters with a slapping leg kick. Piaget plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Karate misses with an uppercut. Piaget saw that one coming. Karate blocks the body kick.
Karate takes a kick to the side of the head. Karate steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Piaget. That one must have hurt. Piaget throws a sloppy head kick and Karate moves out of range easily. Karate takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Piaget throws a quick head kick that knocks Karate silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Piaget is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
