Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cid Wallace (ranked 1229 p4p, 2081 weight class) and Miguel Angel Guzman (ranked 23 p4p, 99 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cid Wallace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Miguel Angel Guzman! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.

It looks like Miguel Angel Guzman has been cut. Wallace keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Guzman counters with a straight right hand. Wallace throws a hook but Guzman blocks it. Guzman ducks under a wild hook from Wallace. Guzman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. We've been told by Wallace's head coaches at Island Sparring that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wallace blocks a jab. Guzman misses with a combination
and Wallace counters with a stiff right hand. Guzman connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Guzman stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A jab from Guzman finds it's way through Wallace's defenses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guzman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wallace throws a poor cross that misses
and Guzman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Guzman connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Guzman misses with a series of wild punches.

It looked like Wallace was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Guzman. Guzman looks to land a combination but Wallace avoids it well. Guzman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Guzman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wallace. Guzman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wallace circles away quickly and effectively. Guzman throws an overhand right that lands on Wallace's shoulder, as Wallace tries to avoid the shot. Wallace throws out a loose jab but Guzman uses good head movement to avoid it. Guzman throws out a counter right but Wallace avoids it with no problem. Guzman is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Guzman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wallace moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Guzman throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wallace counters with a nice uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Guzman swings away with a body shot that misses
and Wallace counters with a crisp one two that drops Guzman! Wallace thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Guzman to his feet! Guzman is in big trouble!
Guzman is rocked! Miguel Angel Guzman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from Wallace. Guzman does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace steps in with a hook that catches Guzman right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Wallace follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Guzman looks absolutely devastated.
