Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sigi Pesalelei (ranked 23705 p4p, 24034 weight class) and David Tua (ranked 596 p4p, 601 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sigi Pesalelei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Tua! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tua tries to keep at a distance but Pesalelei has taken the fight into the clinch. Pesalelei is looking to control Tua's arms but Tua gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pesalelei has his back to the ropes. Tua throws an elbow that misses.

Pesalelei softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Tua creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Pesalelei works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

and Pesalelei counters with a good low kick that Tua was not able to check. Tua tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pesalelei was well out of range. Poor timing from Tua. Tua swings and misses with a shot to the body and Pesalelei counters with a nice body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Pesalelei misses. Pesalelei sets himself, and Tua steps forward looking for the clinch! Pesalelei avoids it this time.

Tua looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Pesalelei throws a series of punches but Tua avoids them all with ease. Tua is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pesalelei pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tua back to the ropes. Pesalelei follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Tua misses with a hook. Pesalelei ducked under it nicely. Pesalelei scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tua doesn't seem bothered though. Pesalelei throws a sloppy head kick and Tua counters with a straight right hand. Pesalelei closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pesalelei lands a left hand that snaps the head of Tua backwards. Pesalelei will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Tua up against the ropes. Our sources have told us that Pesalelei has been working on his elbows in the gym. Pesalelei blocks a body shot from Tua. Pesalelei working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pesalelei goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Tua is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Tua on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Nice straight punches there by Pesalelei. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pesalelei. Tua misses with a looping right. Pesalelei throws a body punch but Tua moves out of range. Sigi Pesalelei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pesalelei has closed the distance and engaged Tua in a clinch.

Tua looks to throw an elbow but misses. A nice glancing elbow lands by Pesalelei. Tua tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pesalelei's elbow. A short right hand to the side of the head by Pesalelei. Tua's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Pesalelei creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Tua crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Tua face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Pesalelei takes it with a brutal technical knockout!
