Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro DelToro (ranked 7574 p4p, 24968 weight class) and John Diaz (ranked 689 p4p, 735 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro DelToro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, John Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.

DelToro manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure.
DelToro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
DelToro wants to stand but Diaz is controlling his posture from full guard.
DelToro throws a big elbow that misses.

Diaz looking for a guillotine here but DelToro defends easily.
Diaz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
DelToro postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and DelToro defends well.
DelToro tries to free his leg and advance position but Diaz is retaining full guard.

Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DelToro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DelToro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

DelToro lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz has momentary wrist control but DelToro slips an elbow through the middle.
Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
DelToro is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Diaz has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. DelToro doesn't defend quickly enough and Diaz has managed to lock this one up! Can DelToro escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Diaz on a fantastic submission victory.
