Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Divaille (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Divaille might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Knights Of Cydonia. Royce Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Divaille shows good takedown defense.
Gracie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Divaille clinches with his opponent.
Gracie gets through Divaille's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Divaille could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Divaille has Gracie pushed against the cage.

Divaille gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gracie regains guard.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Divaille is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Divaille's back instead.

Gracie has his foot on Divaille's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Divaille works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Divaille looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is trying to stand back up but Divaille is controlling him
Divaille is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer.

Divaille is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gracie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Divaille.

so Divaille counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Gracie kicks Divaille off and gets to his feet.
Royce Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Divaille counters with a nice uppercut.
Fred Divaille has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Gracie.

Divaille jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gracie manages to avoid the submission attempt.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Divaille knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Divaille wants to stand but Gracie has his arm trapped.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Divaille throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gracie's waist but Gracie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Divaille off to one side.

and Divaille counters with a three punch combo that has Gracie backing up. Gracie nods at Divaille to acknowledge the strikes.
Divaille throws a leg kick which misses Gracie's front leg but catches the back leg as Gracie tries to avoid it.

Divaille shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Divaille showed some decent athleticism there.
Fred Divaille overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Divaille is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Gracie has managed to free his arm - good work.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Divaille pulls his head out easily.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gracie is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Divaille is forced to tap! Great finish!
