Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Incons (ranked 7113 p4p, 4893 weight class) and Jon Lemedson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Incons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jon Lemedson! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lemedson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Incons looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Lemedson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lemedson showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lemedson is controlling the pace.
Lemedson wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lemedson is looking for a kimura but Incons is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lemedson to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lemedson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lemedson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lemedson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Incons. Incons blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lemedson. Well, if Lemedson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Incons really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lemedson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Incons definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Lemedson working over Incons with some ground and pound. Incons looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lemedson slows the pace down in half guard. Lemedson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Still in half guard, Lemedson seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lemedson working Incons over with strikes. Lemedson content to control rather than advance. Lemedson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Incons sees it coming and defends easily. Lemedson stalling. Lemedson wants to stand up but Incons has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lemedson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Lemedson throwing shots but Incons is blocking nicely. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lemedson lands a nice short elbow. Lemedson lands with a punch from half guard. Lemedson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lemedson works his foot free and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Lemedson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lemedson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Incons sprawls well initially but Lemedson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lemedson trying to pass the guard but Incons defending well. Lemedson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lemedson winds up and cracks Incons with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Instead, Incons manages to get to full guard. Lemedson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lemedson controls from within his opponent's guard. Lemedson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Lemedson is pushing down on Incons's leg trying to pass to half guard. Incons is fighting to maintain full guard but Lemedson has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lemedson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Incons is in trouble now - Lemedson has advanced to mount! Lemedson looking to finish Incons with some ground and pound. This is bad for Incons! Lemedson with the ground and pound from mount. Lemedson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Lemedson controlling from the full mount. Lemedson with the ground and pound from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lemedson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Incons is looking to escape. Lemedson prevents Incons from getting the reversal. Lemedson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Incons to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Incons shrugs it off. Lemedson raining down shots from the mount! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lemedson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Lemedson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Lemedson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Incons! Lemedson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Incons knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lemedson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lemedson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lemedson lands a decent elbow from side control. Lemedson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Incons has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lemedson but great work by Incons. Lemedson wants to control but Incons postures up. Lemedson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Incons is staying active. Lemedson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Incons's best efforts. Lemedson is staying active underneath Incons, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lemedson manages to get to full guard.
Lemedson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Matt Incons has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lemedson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Incons gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lemedson wants to sweep but no luck. Lemedson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. More stalling from Lemedson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lemedson controls Incons momentarily but Incons frees himself. Incons wants to control from the top but Lemedson keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Lemedson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Incons as he jumps to the side. Incons displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lemedson. Lemedson fails with a takedown attempt. Matt Incons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Lemedson. Lemedson shoots in but no luck this time. The fighters circling - Incons throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lemedson closes the distance and clinches up with Incons, looking for a takedown. Lemedson pushes Incons against the cage but Incons circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lemedson walks into a jab. Lemedson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Incons defends it nicely. Incons jabs Lemedson right on the nose. Lemedson blinks but takes it well. Lemedson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Incons defends well and Lemedson ends up having to push Incons into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Matt Incons is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Incons swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lemedson shoots in but no luck this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lemedson gets a takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lemedson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Incons showed his dominance in that final round. I think Lemedson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
