Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Muhamad Fatih! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Moto Miyashita! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miyashita looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fatih working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Miyashita. Miyashita trying to control the position from guard on top but Fatih is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fatih working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miyashita doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miyashita manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Miyashita with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miyashita scoring with some ground and pound. Fatih working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Miyashita. Miyashita lands a couple of elbows. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Miyashita's corner. There ya go! There ya go! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miyashita works over Fatih with some ground and pound from guard. Miyashita keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fatih's head. Fatih might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Miyashita postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Miyashita lands a couple of decent looking shots. This has been an exciting period of action! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miyashita accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Miyashita stands up over Fatih, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyashita working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fatih's head. Miyashita lying in Fatih's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Fatih decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Miyashita taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
