Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Gacy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Gacy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gacy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gacy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gacy just content to control the position. Silva manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gacy's best efforts. Silva keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Silva looking for submissions off his back. Gacy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gacy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Silva looking for submissions off his back. Gacy moves nicely into side control. Silva takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sloppy strikes there by Gacy. Gacy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. Gacy trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silva is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gacy's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Gacy performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Gacy wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Gacy sits in half guard. Gacy wants to advance to full mount but Silva doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gacy stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gacy! Gacy slows the pace down. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Check out the look on Gacy's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Silva regains half guard. Gacy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Gacy working over Silva with some ground and pound. Silva looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Gacy passes the guard and advances to mount! Gacy in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Gacy dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gacy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gacy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Gacy has knee on belly and moves into mount. Gacy working away from the top, dropping strikes. Gacy landing strikes, looking to finish! Silva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Gacy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gacy scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gacy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape. Silva is trying desperately to improve position. Gacy lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Silva hang on? Gacy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gacy is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Silva is breathing heavily.

Gacy controlling the position easily from mount. Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Gacy cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Gacy with shots to the head and body - Silva looks very uncomfortable down there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gacy connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

John Gacy dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Gacy on that attempt. Horrible takedown by Gacy or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad. Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gacy scores a takedown into full mount! Gacy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silva's face.
Gacy wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Silva manages to regain half guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gacy keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. John Gacy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gacy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Gacy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Gacy performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee stands the fighters back up. John Gacy just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Gacy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Gacy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva tries for a takedown but Gacy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Silva shoots in and drives through. Gacy sprawls well. Gacy fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Gacy. Gacy gets slowly back to his feet. Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gacy closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Gacy pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Gacy shoots in but no luck this time. Gacy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gacy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Gacy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gacy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Silva can do to turn this around?

And that's the end of the fight! John Gacy showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gacy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
