Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Rye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tacio Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sam Rye has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sam Rye seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rye drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rye is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pereira has escaped the position, nice work there.
Pereira is looking to regain half guard here but Rye keeps moving and retains side control.
Rye could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pereira is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rye gets a takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pereira has his foot on Rye's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rye works his way back into a safe position though.
