Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jet Li (ranked 25235 p4p, 7515 weight class) and The Mass (ranked 592 p4p, 523 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jet Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, The Mass!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

Li throws a head kick but Mass moves out of range.
Li throws a leg kick but Mass sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Mass gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mass gets control of Li's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mass will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Mass is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Li wants to stand and escape but instead Mass has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Mass is landing with some decent strikes but Li is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Li knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mass on the ground.

Li is trying to get back to his feet but Mass has full control of the position and if anything, Li has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Even with his hooks in, Mass manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Mass is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Li is defending well though. Mass let's go of the attempt for now.
I would not like to be Li right now.
Mass has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's time! Li's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Mass shoots in for a takedown but Li shows good takedown defense.
Li throws a sloppy head kick and Mass moves out of range easily.

Li tries to keep at a distance but Mass has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mass has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Li tries to work over Mass's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Mass breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mass moves out of range of the strikes.
Li tries to bum rush Mass with a series of wild strikes but Mass uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Li fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mass checks it well.
Jet Li is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Mass shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Li pinned against the cage. Li gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mass slips a jab and a cross from Li.
Mass closes the distance and pushes Li back into the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mass.
Li is trying to break the clinch but Mass has him pressed against the cage.
Li avoiding damage as Mass throws knees to the body.
Li misses with a shot to the kidneys.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mass holds on and takes a little breather.
Li wants to stand and escape but instead Mass has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Mass in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Mass's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Li tries to escape but Mass is in control.
Mass tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Mass gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Mass shoots in and drives through. Li sprawls well.
Jet Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Mass.
Mass fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Li counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Li swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
The Mass showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Mass has control of Li's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Li regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Li is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Mass.

I've got Mass winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
