Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Speed Killz (ranked 4844 p4p, 4802 weight class) and Mike McGettigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike McGettigan!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Paul Tew.

Killz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
McGettigan is trying to maintain the position but Killz is very close to passing his half guard.

Killz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McGettigan has managed to free his arm - good work.
McGettigan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
McGettigan is trying to control but can't.
Killz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Killz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
McGettigan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McGettigan.
McGettigan has a closed guard, preventing Killz from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McGettigan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
McGettigan is trying to control the position but Killz postures up.
Killz tries to stand but McGettigan is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McGettigan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

McGettigan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Killz manages to get himself to full guard.

McGettigan throws an elbow that misses. Killz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McGettigan's guard. Nice move by Killz!

McGettigan has a closed guard, preventing Killz from standing up.
Killz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGettigan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGettigan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McGettigan wants to hit a sweep here but Killz passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McGettigan there!
McGettigan is looking to improve his position but Killz isn't that keen on the idea.

Killz takes McGettigan's back.
McGettigan is really stuck here.

You can see the frustration on McGettigan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

McGettigan is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Killz is staying active.

McGettigan is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's time! Killz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

McGettigan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Killz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McGettigan is trying to defend but Killz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Killz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McGettigan can do to turn this around?
McGettigan is looking to control Killz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McGettigan avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Killz in particular looking to stall.

Killz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McGettigan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Killz.

McGettigan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Killz haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Killz is trying to control. McGettigan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Killz is taking a breather. McGettigan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Speed Killz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McGettigan is looking to improve his position.
McGettigan is looking to control Killz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McGettigan avoid being mounted?

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Killz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McGettigan.
Killz attempts a counter takedown but McGettigan avoids it well and moves away.
Speed Killz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike McGettigan.

and Killz counters with a crisp one two that drops McGettigan! Killz thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves McGettigan to his feet! McGettigan is in big trouble!

Killz shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! McGettigan is on queer street and Killz is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Speed Killz!
