Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blake Tyler (ranked 5226 p4p, 2949 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Blake Tyler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nick Diaz! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.

and Diaz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Blake Tyler has been cut. Tyler is breathing heavily. Diaz pushes Tyler up against the cage in a clinch. Diaz jumps guard but Tyler turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Diaz connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tyler's face.

Tyler tries to keep at a distance but Diaz has taken the fight into the clinch. Diaz is working for takedown but Tyler is calmly controlling the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz has Tyler pressed against the cage, preventing Tyler from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Diaz breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz darts in looking for a takedown but Tyler gets double underhooks and turns Diaz into the cage. Blake Tyler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Diaz. Diaz doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tyler counters with a two punch combo. Diaz lands a two punch combo.
Tyler scores with a sloppy right hand. Diaz should have avoided that one. Diaz closes the distance and pushes Tyler back into the cage. Diaz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tyler pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tyler tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tyler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tyler wants it to stay on the feet. Diaz rushes Tyler and presses him up against the cage. Diaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Diaz rushes Tyler and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tyler is trying to break the clinch but Diaz is controlling him. Diaz misses with a body punch.
Diaz manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tyler just stands there and leans against the cage. Diaz is trying to drag Tyler to the mat but Tyler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tyler avoids it. Diaz jumps guard and drags Tyler to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Diaz looking for a triangle here. Tyler is fighting it but it looks tight! Diaz pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Tyler is tapping out - this one is all over!
