Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Engrle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franjy Izgrate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Izgrate has chosen Sail as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Engrle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engrle tries to close the distance and clinch but Izgrate swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Engrle throws a chopping leg kick but Izgrate manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Engrle takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Engrle throws a jab but it's blocked by Izgrate.
Engrle swats away the attempt to clinch by Izgrate.
Engrle throws a head kick that misses.
Engrle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Izgrate lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Stan Engrle has been cut.
Engrle lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Izgrate darts in and clinches Engrle up against the cage.

Izgrate thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Engrle's head.
Izgrate is working for an americana but Engrle has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Izgrate was thinking about the submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Engrle throws a sloppy head kick and Izgrate moves out of range easily.

and Izgrate counters with a left and a right that stings Engrle.
Izgrate throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Engrle.
Izgrate stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Izgrate holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Engrle is pressed up against the cage. Izgrate has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Engrle down to the mat. Engrle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Engrle throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Izgrate blocks it with crossed arms.

Engrle throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Izgrate counters with a three punch combo that has Engrle backing up. Engrle nods at Izgrate to acknowledge the strikes.

Izgrate uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Engrle.

Stan Engrle's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Engrle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Izgrate manages to avoid it.
Izgrate cracks Engrle with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Izgrate changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Engrle tries to avoid it but Izgrate manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Engrle to the ground. Engrle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Izgrate connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Izgrate shoots in looking for a takedown. Engrle tries to sprawl out of it but Izgrate keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Engrle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Izgrate counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Izgrate.

Engrle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Franjy Izgrate showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Izgrate has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
