Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 5738 p4p, 3409 weight class) and Moonlight Maze (ranked 574 p4p, 432 weight class). Maze has chosen Winger Can't Get Enough as his entrance music. Moonlight Maze has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Moonlight Maze!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.

Maze has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Joe is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maze.

Joe is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Maze still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Maze has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Maze wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Joe, who protects the arm well.

Joe is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Maze is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That was a close round but I would say that Glass Joe will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Maze tries to close the distance and clinch up but Joe swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Maze drops back, looking for a kneebar! Joe looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Joe looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Joe!

Joe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Maze is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Joe asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Joe is putting a hurting on Maze here, landing some big shots from side control.
Joe is looking to take a break and control but Maze is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Glass Joe will probably get the nod.

Joe reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Joe taps out! Nice BJJ there by Maze!

Moonlight Maze was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
