Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Darnell Nurse (ranked 23199 p4p, 2905 weight class) and John Thunder (ranked 575 p4p, 297 weight class). Thunder comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thunderstruck - AcDc kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! John Thunder is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Nurse uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Thunder has time to react.
Nurse misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thunder .

Nurse lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Thunder with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nurse to score with a decent uppercut.
Thunder wants to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thunder looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Thunder ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Nurse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thunder moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A slow jab from Nurse misses its intended target.
Nurse walks into a left hand.

Nice straight punches there by Nurse. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nurse.
Nurse connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Thunder 's hands.
Thunder has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Thunder tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Nurse paws at him with a jab and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd cheers as Nurse lands an impressive looking overhand right. Thunder doesn't seem phased though.
Nurse cracks Thunder with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nurse throws the left hand but Thunder avoids the punch easily.
Thunder takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nurse is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
A left lands for Nurse.

Nurse lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Thunder at a distance.
It looks like Nurse has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Nurse scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Thunder doesn't seem bothered though.

Nurse misses with a wild body shot.
Thunder uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nurse.
Nurse ducks under a wild hook from Thunder .
Nurse ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Thunder shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Thunder tries a head kick but it misses.
Nurse cracks Thunder with a right hand to the side of the head.
Thunder takes one to the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Nurse throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Darnell Nurse is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thunder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nurse swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nurse catches Thunder napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Thunder crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Nurse raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Darnell Nurse!
In defeat, John Thunder stepped up to the mic, saying 'I put it on the line every time. These gym rats fuck this guy'.
