The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mahmoud Gameel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Laan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gameel is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Laan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gameel using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Laan has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gameel just misses with a elbow thrown towards Laan's brow.
