Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rowan Callaway (ranked 4594 p4p, 4590 weight class) and Rajni Kant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rowan Callaway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rajni Kant! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callaway shoots in for a takedown but Kant shows good takedown defense. Callaway moves out of range of the strikes. Callaway gets a double leg takedown into Kant's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kant keeping moving, preventing Callaway from controlling successfully. Callaway stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kant swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kant is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Callaway drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Callaway jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kant is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Callaway trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Callaway looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kant wants to stand but Callaway is controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kant is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kant can do anything to dispel that myth. Callaway is working for a kimura but Kant is defending it quite comfortably.

He's slapped it on tight and Kant is forced to tap! Nice work there by Callaway! Very nice indeed!
