Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Timmy Tank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Smith!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Smith throws a head kick but Tank moves out of range.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Tank wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Smith looks to clinch
and Tank makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Tank counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard.

Tank drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tank jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tank drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Tank off! Tank jumps back into Smith's guard.

Tank wants to get up but he can't break Smith's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tank trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom.

Tank drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tank jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tank wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tank is controlling him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tank throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.
Tank takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Tank is breathing heavily.
Smith looks to clinch
and Tank counters with a low kick, right behind Smith 's knee.
Smith thows a body kick. Tank tries to catch it but that hurt him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tank swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith.

Smith rushes Tank and presses him up against the cage.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith feints and then cracks Tank's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tank down.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tank moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Smith tries to clinch up but Tank circles away and keeps his distance.
A combination from Smith does no damage.
Smith misses with a two punch combination.
Smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Tank circles away.
Paul Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith is looking to clinch but Tank is avoiding it.
Smith scores with a leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smith tries to clinch up but Tank circles away and keeps his distance.

Tank keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Smith dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tank swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tank throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.

Smith will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Tank up against the cage.
Tank on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith looks for the body kick but Tank saw that one coming.

and Tank counters with a three punch combo that has Smith backing up. Smith nods at Tank to acknowledge the strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Horrible takedown by Tank or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.

and Tank counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Smith closes the distance but Tank moves to the side
and Tank makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Smith really felt that one!
Nice takedown defense from Tank. No joy for Smith on that attempt.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth.
Smith looks like he's trying to stand up.

and Tank counters with a stiff right hand.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tank tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tank throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.
Smith is looking to clinch but Tank is avoiding it.
Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tank counters with a three punch combo that has Smith backing up. Smith nods at Tank to acknowledge the strikes.

Smith lands an elbow inside that Tank shrugs off.

Tank lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tank wants to get back to his feet.

Tank prevents Smith from standing back up.

Tank postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Smith to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timmy Tank dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Tank wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tank lands with a nice combination. Smith backs away looking to recover.
Tank fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

And that's the end of the fight!
Timmy Tank showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Tank has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
