Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesus Cavalera!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cavalera's guard.

Cavalera had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Parker is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cavalera Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Parker's back instead.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cavalera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Parker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Parker is trying to control the action in half guard but Cavalera is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Parker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cavalera is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Parker seems to be looking for submissions.

Cavalera looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Parker pushes past his half guard into mount!
Parker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Parker wants to pass to mount but Cavalera is defending the position.

Parker drops an elbow to the side of Cavalera's head.
Cavalera is positioning himself well to prevent Parker advancing to mount.
Parker landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Parker is just content to waste time from the top position. Cavalera takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cavalera manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Parker shoots in and drives through. Cavalera sprawls well.
Cavalera lands a nice leg kick that just misses Parker's sensitive parts.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Jesus Cavalera is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cavalera slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Peter Parker has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cavalera pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Cavalera! Parker is out on his feet! Cavalera rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Parker is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Parker is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesus Cavalera!
