Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mustafa Azzi (ranked 1201 p4p, 1229 weight class) and Jay Chandrasekhar (ranked 143 p4p, 147 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mustafa Azzi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jay Chandrasekhar! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.

and Azzi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Chandrasekhar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Azzis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Chandrasekhar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Azzi walks into a left hand. Chandrasekhar swings away with a body shot that misses
and Azzi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Good exchange - Chandrasekhar coming out on top. Azzi throws a combination. Chandrasekhar tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Jay Chandrasekhar has been cut. A shot to the body from Chandrasekhar misses and Azzi counters with a nice uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Azzi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chandrasekhar. Azzi was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Chandrasekhar misses the jab. Chandrasekhar scores with a jab to the body. A swing and a miss from Chandrasekhar.
That's one minute gone in the round. Azzi throws an off balance right hand
and Azzi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Chandrasekhar misses with a straight right. Azzi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Island Training Centre in the buildup to the fight. Azzi throws a lazy right hand but Chandrasekhar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Azzi misses with a looping left. Chandrasekhar throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Chandrasekhar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Chandrasekhar on the wrong end of a nice jab. Chandrasekhar connects with a single shot there. Good shot there by Azzi. Azzi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Azzi misses with a left hand and Chandrasekhar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Azzi slips a jab from Chandrasekhar. As Chandrasekhar looks to move away, Azzi throws a big counter combo but Chandrasekhar just gets out of the way.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Azzi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Chandrasekhar jabbing away but nothing is landing. Azzi swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Azzi lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chandrasekhar at a distance.
Chandrasekhar misses with a wild body shot. Azzi throwing a counter right hand but Chandrasekhar manages to avoid it. A big right from Chandrasekhar misses. and Azzi counters with a nice body shot. Azzi is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Chandrasekhar gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Chandrasekhar tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Azzi is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Chandrasekhar buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Chandrasekhar!! Chandrasekhar is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Azzi throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mustafa Azzi! A very excited looking Mustafa Azzi rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
