Mulder takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Mulder misses with a takedown attempt - Haruhi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Mulder dives in and grabs Haruhi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Haruhi pushes down on Mulder's head and hops out.
No joy there for Haruhi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mulder changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Mulder fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Haruhi avoids it really well and circles away.
Zuko Haruhi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niek Mulder.

Mulder seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mulder is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Haruhi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mulder is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Mulder gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Mulder gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Mulder apologises and we restart here on the feet.

My spies in Island Sparring inform me that Mulder has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
