Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Incons (ranked 25121 p4p, 7268 weight class) and Maris Dzidzus (ranked 736 p4p, 656 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Incons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maris Dzidzus! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.

Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Dzidzus dives in and grabs Incons's left leg, looking for a takedown. Incons pushes down on Dzidzus's head and hops out. Incons drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dzidzus sprawls and moves away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dzidzus is defended easily by Incons. Dzidzus tries for a takedown but Incons circles away easily and Incons counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Incons definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Matt Incons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maris Dzidzus. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dzidzus is looking to control Incons's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dzidzus avoid being mounted? Dzidzus told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Dzidzus wants to improve his position but Incons is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dzidzus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Incons tries to counter with a takedown but Dzidzus is quick to defend against it. Incons slips a jab and a cross from Dzidzus.

Dzidzus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Incons half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Dzidzus shoots in but Incons avoids the takedown attempt easily. Incons changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Incons showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dzidzus.

Incons has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Dzidzus shoots in for a double leg but Incons sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Incons appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Dzidzus throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dzidzus pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Incons will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Dzidzus looks to clinch and Incons decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dzidzus's guard. Dzidzus looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Incons puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Incons stands up and beckons Dzidzus to join him on the feet. Dzidzus lands a nice hook to Incons's body. Incons takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Incons circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Incons on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dzidzus lands a jab to the head.

Dzidzus tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Incons counters with a shoot takedown. Dzidzus fights it but they end up in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Incons decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dzidzus looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Incons changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lazy body kick from Dzidzus and Incons counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Dzidzus is trying to control but can't.
Incons really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dzidzus is trying to get back to full guard. Incons escapes and gets back to his feet. Maris Dzidzus seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dzidzus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Incons's waist but Incons gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dzidzus off to one side. Incons drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dzidzus sprawls and moves away. Dzidzus is trying hard to land a takedown here. Incons sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Dzidzus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Incons is working away from the top position though. Dzidzus actively working from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dzidzus looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Incons stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Incons wants it to stay on the feet. Incons attempts a counter takedown but Dzidzus avoids it well and moves away. A low kick from Dzidzus misses and Incons counters with a single leg into guard. Dzidzus didn't expect that. Dzidzus wants to get back to his feet but Incons passes into half guard.
Incons is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dzidzus can do to turn this around?

Incons stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Dzidzus fails in his attempt to clinch. Dzidzus fails with the takedown and Incons counters with a shoot takedown. Dzidzus fights it but they end up in guard. Incons is standing up over Dzidzus. Dzidzus looks to escape but Incons dives into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action! Dzidzus looks to move to half guard but instead Incons has passed into mount! Damn!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dzidzus reaches up and pulls Incons towards him, trying to control the position. Incons manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Dzidzus! Dzidzus tries to roll over - now Incons is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Dzidzus has to tap out! Great work there by Incons!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Matt Incons! Matt Incons decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
