Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksey Borodin (ranked 2366 p4p, 5693 weight class) and Gorgon Zola (ranked 38 p4p, 194 weight class). Zola has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aleksey Borodin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorgon Zola!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.

Borodin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Borodin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zola looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Zola misses with a straight right.
Zola lands a nice looking body kick.
Borodin scores with the left hand. Zola knows he should have avoided that one.
Zola scores with a nice strike.
Zola on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Zola cracks Borodin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Borodin pushes Zola up against the cage in a clinch.
Zola's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zola is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Borodin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Borodin misses with a hook. Zola ducked under it nicely.

Borodin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Borodin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zola.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Zola! But no joy.
Zola lands with an uppercut that bounces Borodin off the cage and back into range.
Borodin misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Borodin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zola was well out of range. Poor timing from Borodin.
Zola connects with a single shot there.
Borodin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Zola lands with an uppercut that bounces Borodin off the cage and back into range.
Zola slips under a jab from Borodin.
Zola uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Borodin.
Borodin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zola.
Zola scores with a punch to the head.
Zola looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Zola gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Borodin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zola throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Borodin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Borodin misses the shot to the body.

and Zola counters with a three punch combo that has Borodin backing up. Borodin nods at Zola to acknowledge the strikes.

Zola connects with a leg kick.
Zola is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Borodin had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Borodin lands a head shot.
Borodin just misses with a punch to the body.
Zola loads up on a big right hand but Borodin slips the punch.
Zola feints and then cracks Borodin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Borodin down.
Zola lunges at Borodin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Borodin's hand.
Zola connects with the punch.
Borodin on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Zola uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Borodin has time to react.
A lazy left from Zola finds it's target.
Borodin misses with a left hand
and Zola counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Borodin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Zola counters with a stiff right hand.
Zola ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Borodin moves away.
Borodin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Borodin throws a hook to the side of Zola's head but Zola sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Borodin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Zola scoring well with a low kick there.
Zola throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Borodin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Zola lands a jab to the head.
Borodin takes a swing at Zola's ribcage but misses.
Zola lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Aleksey Borodin has been cut.
Borodin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zola clinches with his opponent.
Borodin tries to land knees in the clinch but Zola avoids the damage to the body.
Zola landing knees to the head.
Borodin is rocked!
Borodin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Zola is defending well for now.
Borodin lands an uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zola lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Borodin backwards.
Oh Borodin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zola dips a shoulder and cracks Borodin with a mighty uppercut! Borodin falls back against the cage and Zola unloads with a barrage of strikes! Borodin is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Zola screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gorgon Zola!
After the fight, Gorgon Zola was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
