Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark O Madsen (ranked 3936 p4p, 25624 weight class) and Kevin Kulter (ranked 475 p4p, 708 weight class). Kevin Kulter will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark O Madsen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Kulter! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kulter wants it to stay on the feet. Horrible takedown attempt by O Madsen or perhaps it was just good defense by Kulter, which made it look bad. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kulter. Kulter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from O Madsen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kulter is trying to keep O Madsen in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kulter blocks the strikes from O Madsen.
O Madsen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kulter pulls his head out easily. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. O Madsen wants to control but Kulter is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. O Madsen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kulter did well to prevent O Madsen getting side control. Kulter controlling the position well. O Madsen looks to land a strike but Kulter avoids it nicely and regains full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kulter has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but O Madsen has passed into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. O Madsen is in close to Kulter's body, working some short punches and elbows. O Madsen scoring with some ground and pound. O Madsen chips away with some ground and pound. O Madsen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kulter is keeping the position for now. O Madsen lands a couple of decent looking shots. O Madsen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. O Madsen looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Madsen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. O Madsen postures up and lands a big shot to Kulter's brow. O Madsen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kulter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now O Madsen has Kulter in his guard. That was a close second round but I would say that Mark O Madsen will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! O Madsen looks to land a combination but Kulter avoids it well. Kulter throws a counter combo. O Madsen has Kulter up against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Kulter's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kulter prevents the takedown attempt.
O Madsen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kulter smiles and moves away.

Mark O Madsen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kulter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. O Madsen has his feet on Kulter's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Mark O Madsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kulter shoots in for a takedown but O Madsen shows good takedown defense. Mark O Madsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Kulter. O Madsen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kulter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. O Madsen performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

O Madsen prevents Kulter from improving his position. O Madsen is trying to control. Kulter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. O Madsen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kulter wants to control but O Madsen is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kulter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kulter is looking to control O Madsen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kulter avoid being mounted? O Madsen is stalling here. Kulter is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! O Madsen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kulter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. O Madsen tries to improve position but can't. O Madsen gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Madsen regains full guard. Nicely done. O Madsen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. O Madsen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kulter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kulter looking to pass the guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kulter trying to control but O Madsen is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark O Madsen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for O Madsen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
