Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lopaka Tanaka (ranked 5446 p4p, 5020 weight class) and Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.

Tanaka connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jackson. Jackson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Shawn Jackson has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Jackson.
Tanaka smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Jackson shoots in and drives through. Tanaka sprawls well.
Tanaka with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Tanaka dips to his left and cracks Jackson with an uppercut!
A telegraphed right hand from Jackson misses the target.
Tanaka stuns Jackson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jackson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tanaka digs a good hook to Jackson's body.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Tanaka tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tanaka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson walks straight into a right hand from Tanaka - that's dropped him! Tanaka jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jackson from any more punishment! Jackson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lopaka Tanaka!
