Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keller Hoyt (ranked 5581 p4p, 25000 weight class) and Andre Krimm (ranked 479 p4p, 567 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keller Hoyt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andre Krimm!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoyt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Krimm feints the counter takedown.

Krimm closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hoyt's guard.
Krimm looking to pass the guard.
Hoyt has his hands on Krimm's head, controlling the position.
Krimm wants to control from the top but Hoyt keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoyt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Krimm is in close to Hoyt's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hoyt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Krimm is looking to work some ground and pound but Hoyt has wrist control.

Hoyt is looking for a triangle but Krimm pushes his legs off easily.
Hoyt keeping moving, preventing Krimm from controlling successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Hoyt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Krimm gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hoyt looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Hoyt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Krimm is one step ahead there.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Krimm rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hoyt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hoyt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Krimm is looking to clinch but Hoyt is avoiding it.
Hoyt misses with a takedown attempt - Krimm sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Krimm shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hoyt manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Krimm trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Krimm trying to control but Hoyt is working from the bottom.

Hoyt tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Krimm wants to control from the top but Hoyt keeps moving.
Krimm might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hoyt haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Krimm is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Krimm fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Krimm throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hoyt's waist but Hoyt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Krimm off to one side.
Krimm shoots in for a takedown but Hoyt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Keller Hoyt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Krimm.

Hoyt is looking to clinch.
Hoyt shoots for a double leg takedown but Krimm sprawls well. He's pushed Hoyt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hoyt or perhaps it was just good defense by Krimm, which made it look bad.
Hoyt is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hoyt throws a sloppy head kick
and Krimm counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Krimm dives in for a single leg takedown but Hoyt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Krimm tries for a takedown but Hoyt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Krimm fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hoyt sprawls well initially but Krimm persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Krimm has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Krimm is trying to control the action in half guard but Hoyt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hoyt kicks off Krimm and gets to his feet.
Krimm shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hoyt as he avoids it easily.
Hoyt seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Krimm misses with a double jab.
Keller Hoyt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A decent looking cross lands there for Krimm.
Hoyt shoots for a takedown but Krimm saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Krimm throws a counter combo.
Hoyt shoots in but no luck this time.
Hoyt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Krimm circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keller Hoyt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hoyt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Krimm controls the pace.

Hoyt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Krimm wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Krimm wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hoyt keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Krimm wants to take a breather but Hoyt manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Krimm.

Krimm wants to pass the guard but Hoyt is keeping the position.
Hoyt looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Krimm puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Krimm seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hoyt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Krimm is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Hoyt is squirming around, avoiding Krimm's attempts to control the action.
Hoyt is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Krimm tries to control but Hoyt wriggling away.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Krimm can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hoyt is looking to escape.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Krimm working his ground and pound in the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andre Krimm showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Krimm throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hoyt shoots in and bounces Krimm off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Krimm is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Hoyt frees his head nicely. Oh but Krimm has switched to an armbar! Hoyt is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
