Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Liam James (ranked 3586 p4p, 6778 weight class) and Tandi House (ranked 418 p4p, 569 weight class). James's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gone. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Nice sprawl there from James as House shoots in.
James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has House pinned against the cage. House gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. House manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

House closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw House working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Let's hope that House has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
James is breathing heavily.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

House feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
House has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
