Callaghan forces Jerome back against the cage and clinches.
Callaghan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Callaghan misses.
Callaghan rushes Jerome and presses him up against the cage.
Jerome is trying to drag Callaghan to the mat but Callaghan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Callaghan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jerome is defending well for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jerome is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Callaghan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jerome has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jerome there as he acknowledges the shot.
Jerome takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jerome gets tackled into the cage by Callaghan. Callaghan maintains the clinch.
Jerome turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jerome manages to end up in side control.
Callaghan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Callaghan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jerome's hands.
Jerome is rocked!
Callaghan batters Jerome with a massive right followed by a huge left! Jerome is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Callaghan lands a final crushing right hand to drop Jerome to the mat with a gruesome thud! Callaghan is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Callaghan!
