Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hammerand Nailz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Pattenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattenson has chosen Forever as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Hammerand Nailz has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hammerand Nailz seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattenson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nailz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nailz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pattenson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pattenson avoids a punch combination nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pattenson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nailz is working away from the top position though.
Nailz is nestled in close to Pattenson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Nailz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pattenson defends it well.

Nailz is taking a breather. Pattenson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nailz thows a huge punch but Pattenson dodges it nicely.

so Nailz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Pattenson pushes Nailz off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pattenson misses with a takedown attempt
and Nailz counters with a shoot takedown. Pattenson fights it but they end up in guard.
Nailz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Nailz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pattenson for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pattenson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nailz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pattenson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nailz's back instead.
Nailz covering up well and avoiding damage.
You can see the frustration on Nailz's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Nailz tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pattenson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nailz is looking to escape.

Pattenson has control of Nailz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nailz regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Pattenson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Nailz because Pattenson loaded up on that one.

Nailz tries to reverse the position but Pattenson maintains control.
Pattenson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nailz has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nailz!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Pattenson looks to score with a jab to the body but Nailz is just out of range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pattenson is trying to control. Nailz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nailz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
