Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jowell Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenzo Souto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jowell Randy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenzo Souto!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Randy.
Randy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Souto tries to avoid it but Randy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Souto to the ground. Souto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Randy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Randy tries for a takedown but Souto sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jowell Randy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Randy circles away from the clinch attempt.

Randy tries to keep at a distance but Souto has taken the fight into the clinch.

Souto gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Randy trying to hold on to Souto's head to control him but Souto postures up.
Souto seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Randy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Souto is trying to work for a kimura but Randy is defending well.
Randy wants to control but Souto is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Souto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Souto takes the fight into the clinch.
Randy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Souto walks away with a smile on his face. Randy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Souto fails with an attempt to clinch.
Souto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Souto tries to clinch up.
Randy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Souto paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Souto throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Souto is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Souto pulls guard effortlessly.
Souto striking off his back but it's not causing Randy any problems.
Souto should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Souto wants to control the position but Randy says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Souto keeps working.
Souto tries to roll over but Randy keeps him under control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Randy shoots in and drives through. Souto sprawls well.
Randy tries to clinch up.
Souto throws a looping overhand right but Randy ducks down to avoid it.
Souto tries to clinch but Randy moves out of range.
Randy scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Randy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Souto gets caught flat footed, as Randy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Randy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Souto as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy darts in and clinches Souto up against the cage.

Souto pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Souto is looking to clinch but Randy is avoiding it.

Souto drives through with a takedown into guard.

Randy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Souto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Randy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Souto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Souto is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Souto wants to get up but he can't break Randy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Randy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Souto manages to get himself to full guard.

Souto is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Souto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Randy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Souto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Randy's back instead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Randy rolls, trying to escape but Souto keeps control of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Randy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Souto gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Souto swats away the attempt to clinch by Randy.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Souto's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Randy wants to sweep but no luck.
Souto trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Souto in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Randy keeping moving, preventing Souto from controlling successfully.
Randy wants to stand but Souto is controlling the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Randy lands a slapping body shot.
Jowell Randy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Left hook, right uppercut from Randy.

Souto rushes Randy and presses him up against the cage.
Randy swings wildly with an uppercut but Souto uses good head movement to avoid it.
Randy has had enough of the clinch but Souto keeps him there for the moment.

Souto pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Randy swats away the attempt to clinch by Souto.
Randy stalks Souto and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Souto's face. Souto staggers backwards, shaken.

and Randy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Souto throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenzo Souto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Souto scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Randy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Souto's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Randy wants to control but Souto is keeping busy.
Randy gets back to full guard.

You can see the frustration on Randy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Souto is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Randy has managed to free his arm - good work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Souto tries to stall but Randy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
