Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brunch George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Islandiano Islandish!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George pushes Islandish up against the cage in a clinch.
Islandish is looking to take this one to the mat.

Islandish breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Islandish closes the distance and pushes George back into the cage.
George has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Islandish stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Islandish looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Islandish is trying to trip George. He has hold of a leg but George is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Islandish persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

George pushes Islandish off and gets back to his feet.
Brunch George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
George misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Islandish looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? George is fending him off so far but Islandish persists. Nope, George circles away and we're back to standing.

Islandish moves into the clinch.

Islandish has dropped down and is working for a takedown. George is trying to keep an underhook but Islandish manages to get the takedown into half guard.

George kicks Islandish off and gets back to his feet.
George shoots in for a takedown but Islandish shows good takedown defense.
Islandish leaves George with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Islandish gets a clinch.
George looks to throw an elbow but misses.
George stops a takedown attempt from Islandish.
Brunch George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Islandiano Islandish.

George jumps guard and drags Islandish to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
George manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Islandish manages to get himself to full guard.

George works a leg free and moves into half guard.
George thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
George wants to lay and pray for a moment but Islandish keeps working.

Islandish manages to escape and get back to his feet!

George looks for the body kick but Islandish saw that one coming.
Islandish is looking for the big counter here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from George is defended easily by Islandish.
George will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
As George backs off Islandish throws a huge counter combo but George manages to avoid it all.
George looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Islandish clinches with his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
George gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Islandish.
George tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Islandish's elbow.
Islandish blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Islandish tries for a takedown but George manages to get underhooks.

George pulls guard effortlessly.
George wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
George is adopting a defensive guard.
Islandish makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
George tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
George looks for a takedown but Islandish sprawls well.

Islandish fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with George, pushing him back against the cage.
George lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Islandish backwards.
Islandish drops down looking for an ankle pick but George pulls his leg out and moves away.
Islandish uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by George.

George gets a clinch.
George tries to pull guard but Islandish forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
George gets underhooks to prevent Islandish's takedown attempt.
George scores with an uppercut up the middle.
George is looking to break free of the clinch but Islandish has double underhooks.
George lands a left hand that snaps the head of Islandish backwards.

Islandish displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from George.

Islandish has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. George avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

George stands up and beckons Islandish to join him on the feet.

Islandish gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Islandish keeps the fight in the clinch, despite George's efforts to push away.

Islandish has clasped his hands together around George's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
George is trying to control Islandish's posture but Islandish avoids it.

Islandish is looking to take a break and control but George is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Islandish takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

George moves into range and clinches up with Islandish.

Islandish has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by George after a bit of a struggle.
George lands a good knee to the midsection. Islandish won't want to take too many of those.

Islandish really doesn't want to stay on the ground with George. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

George is really struggling to control Islandish but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Islandish postures up and lands a big shot to George's brow.
