Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Turbitt (ranked 1250 p4p, 2103 weight class) and Nate Palmer (ranked 158 p4p, 259 weight class). Turbitt comes into the arena with Tell Me Ma blaring out of the sound system. Samuel Turbitt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Turbitt has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Turbitt there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nice defenses there by Palmer.
Palmer throws the left hand but Turbitt avoids the punch easily.
Palmer connects with a nice looking jab.
Palmer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Turbitt doesn't seem bothered though.

Palmer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turbitt was well out of range. Poor timing from Palmer.

Turbitt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Palmer.
A quick step to the side and Turbitt tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Palmer cracks Turbitt with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Turbitt avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Palmer is still on wobbly legs! Can Turbitt finish him?
Palmer is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Turbitt moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samuel Turbitt!
