Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Falcone (ranked 58 p4p, 187 weight class) and Mark Merel (ranked 9 p4p, 27 weight class). Falcone comes to the cage accompanied by Goodfellas - long take restaurant scene. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Falcone scores with a crisp jab that stopped Merel in his tracks.

Falcone throws a low kick, looking for Merel's leg but Merel calmly moves out of range.
Merel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Falcone rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Merel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Merel throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Falcone sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice straight punches there by Falcone. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Falcone.
Falcone drops Merel with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Merel! Falcone dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
