Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.

Leopoldo ducks under a wild hook from Patel.
Leopoldo walks into a left hand.
Leopoldo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Patel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Patel loads up on a big right hand but Leopoldo slips the punch.
Leopoldo throws a body shot but no joy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Patel! But no joy.
A slow jab from Patel misses its intended target.
Patel throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Leopoldo sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Patel throws a hook to the side of Leopoldo's head but Leopoldo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A slow jab from Leopoldo misses its intended target.

Leopoldo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Patel tries to move into range but Leopoldo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Patel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Leopoldo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Patel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Leopoldo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Patel throws the left hand but Leopoldo avoids the punch easily.
Leopoldo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Marcus Patel has been cut.
Leopoldo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Leopoldo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Leopoldo moves out of range of the strikes.
Leopoldo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Leopoldo scores with a nice strike.

Patel throws a lazy right hand but Leopoldo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Leopoldo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Patel.
Patel throws a big shot that misses.
Patel just misses with a punch to the body.
Leopoldo tries to counter by clinching up but Patel breaks away and moves out of range.

Patel throws a lazy right hand but Leopoldo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Patel lands with a right that hurts Leopoldo. Leopoldo looks to clinch but Patel throws a short knee that drops Leopoldo. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Marcus Patel!
A relieved looking Marcus Patel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
