Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Chase (ranked 4969 p4p, 2695 weight class) and Karl Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 126 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adrian Chase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Karl Marx! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marx lands a nice short elbow. Chase has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marx is working away from the top position though. Marx looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chase with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Chase flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Marx cracks Chase with a good jab. Chase manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marx on his heels. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Marx clinches. Marx goes for a takedown in the clinch but Chase prevents it.
Chase tries to break free but Marx pushes him back against the cage. Chase tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marx just stands there and leans against the cage. Marx tries to score a body lock takedown but Chase shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Chase prevents the takedown attempt.

Chase blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Chase has Marx pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Chase pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Marx tumbling to the mat - Chase dives into Marx's guard. Chase wants to stand and escape but instead Marx has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Marx is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Marx is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Chase dives into side control.

Chase is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Karl Marx seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab lands there for Marx. Chase shoots in and gets a takedown into Marx's guard. Chase stops Marx from standing up. Chase showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Marx looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Chase fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Marx scores with a punch to the head. Marx goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Marx lands with an overhand left. Chase tries to keep at a distance but Marx has taken the fight into the clinch. Marx gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chase.

Adrian Chase overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The two fighters exchange a few words. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Chase on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chase tries to get out of the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Marx looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Marx takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Marx changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chase tries to avoid it but Marx manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chase to the ground. Chase escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Marx as Chase shoots in. As Chase backs off Marx throws a huge counter combo but Chase manages to avoid it all. Marx shoots in looking for a takedown but Chase manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marx's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Marx ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chase moves away. A momentary lapse in concentration from Marx enables Chase to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Marx manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chase has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marx is proving hard to escape from. Chase is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Karl Marx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Marx winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
