This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Horowitz closes the distance and clinches. Horowitz gets control of Durant 's arms and successfully pulls guard. Horowitz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Durant trying to control but Horowitz is working from the bottom. Horowitz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Durant is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Horowitz pushes a forearm under Durant 's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Durant is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Glenn Horowitz! Glenn Horowitz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |
