The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Fester shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lannister is trying to defend but Fester finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Lannister (0) vs (2) Fester Fester perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Fester is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lannister! Score +3 for passing guard: Lannister (0) vs (5) Fester Fester controlling the position easily from mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fester working for a submission but Lannister is keeping him at bay. Fester controlling the pace for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fester controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Let's hope that Fester has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Fester.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lannister is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Finish the Fight, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Fester trying to control but he's not successful this time. Fester takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fester tries to control but Lannister wriggling away. Fester controlling from mount. Fester's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's five minutes gone in the round. More stalling from Fester. It looks like Fester might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Fester with more of the same as he continues to hold on. Fester trying to control but Lannister is having none of it. Fester looking to control and managing it successfully. Fester is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Fester extends the arm and Lannister is forced to tap!
