Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Show (ranked 4777 p4p, 4576 weight class) and Viktor Rudenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Show! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Viktor Rudenko! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.

Show went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Rudenko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Rudenko throws a jab but it's blocked by Show. Show tries to clinch there but Rudenko circles away.

Show unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rudenko has Show pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Show manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Show breaks the clinch.

Rudenko tries to bum rush Show with a series of wild strikes but Show uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rudenko dives in and grabs Show's left leg, looking for a takedown. Show pushes down on Rudenko's head and hops out. Show instigates a clinch. Rudenko tries to work over Show's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Show jumps guard but Rudenko stands there with Show around his waist. Show gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rudenko tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Show just stands there and leans against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Show will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Show will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rudenko up against the cage. Show avoids a wild elbow strike from Rudenko. Rudenko is pushing Show up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Rudenko is working for takedown but Show is calmly controlling the position for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rudenko lands a shot to the body. Show pulls guard effortlessly. Show has control of Rudenko's left arm, preventing Rudenko from doing any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Show is on top in guard.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rudenko seems to have recovered his senses. Rudenko working for a triangle but Show defends it easily.

Show has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rudenko is proving hard to escape from. Show seems content to control from guard here. Show trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Rudenko looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rudenko throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Show stands up and waves to Rudenko to follow him. Rudenko buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rudenko takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
