Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Lee (ranked 1876 p4p, 6325 weight class) and Chad Strdoza (ranked 207 p4p, 485 weight class). Chad Strdoza acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Strdoza!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

It looks like Chad Strdoza has been cut.
Strdoza circles away from the clinch attempt
and Strdoza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Strdoza drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lee pulls his leg out and moves away.

Lee is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Strdoza can't fight it off and eventually Lee manages to take the fight to the floor. Strdoza looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Strdoza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Strdoza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lee is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Strdoza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lee defends well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lee looking to sit in guard and control but Strdoza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Strdoza wants to stand but Lee is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Strdoza is one step ahead there.

Lee is looking for a triangle but Strdoza pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Strdoza's guard.

Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Strdoza has his foot on Lee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lee works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

In his post fight interview, John Lee started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
