Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Salter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Diesel!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.

Diesel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diesel lands in his opponent's guard.
Salter could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Diesel stands up over Salter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Diesel wants to control from the top but Salter keeps moving.

Salter has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Diesel is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Salter.

Diesel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Salter keeps working.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Salter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Diesel pulls his head out easily.

Diesel is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Diesel is looking to take a break and control but Salter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Diesel winds up and cracks Salter with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Diesel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Salter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Diesel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Salter defends it well.
Diesel is looking to take a break and control but Salter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Salter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diesel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diesel's back!

Salter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diesel is just riding it out for now. Salter eventually gives up the hold.

Diesel might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Salter haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Salter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Diesel looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Diesel looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Diesel!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Diesel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Salter keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Salter goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Diesel rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Salter's guard! Nice work there by Diesel!

Salter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Salter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Diesel is aware though and is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Salter isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Diesel stacks Salter on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Diesel!

Diesel decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Diesel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salter sprawls well initially but Diesel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
