Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jasper English ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Percival James! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.

James drops to a knee looking for a takedown but English gets the underhooks and prevents it.
English lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of James backwards. James has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by English after a bit of a struggle. James tries to clinch but English is having none of it. James fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but English avoids it really well and circles away.

English cracks a nice hook into James's ribs. English tests James's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nice sprawl there from English as James shoots in. A cross from English lands. English 's jab looks to have found its range, popping James under the eye. Donk. English catches James right on the button with a cross. English fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with James, pushing him back against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

English will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning James up against the cage. Nice body punch from English . English breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, James cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. English is trying to reverse the position but instead James has taken his back - oops! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. English trying to control the hands but James breaks the grip. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jasper English dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. English lands a nice looking body shot.

James takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A momentary lapse in concentration from English enables James to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. English manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. James looking to control the position here, rather than advance. English looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. English looking to sweep here. No luck so far. English is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that James can do to turn this around? James with a nice head shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. James drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and James jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. English is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. James sitting in guard, not really doing much. English looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there. James stands up from English 's guard - James perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. James throws a head kick but English moves out of range.
James shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. English defends it nicely. Nice straight punches there by English . You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of English . English stuffs the takedown. James has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. English connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. James takes one to the chin there. James looks to land a combination but English avoids it well. James takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

English dips down and scores with a jab to the body. James tries to close the distance and clinch but English swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. English swats away the attempt to clinch by James. James throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. English has taken the fight to the clinch.
James has had enough of the clinch but English keeps him there for the moment. English pushes James back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. English scores with a shoulder strike. English breaks the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. English getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Nice defenses there by James. James shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. English manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. James is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. English is controlling James's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James wants to control from the top but English keeps moving. James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has English pinned against the cage. English gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. English thows a left - swing and a miss! As English backs off James throws a huge counter combo but English manages to avoid it all. Jasper English seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James tries to score a power double leg takedown but English sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat. James takes one on the button. James is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

English lands with a hook. James tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. James darts in trying to clinch enabling English to counter with a crisp jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Jasper English showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for English , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
