Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taz McKane (ranked 680 p4p, 517 weight class) and Harvey Stallion (ranked 89 p4p, 66 weight class). Stallion has chosen Riding on the horses by Daryl Braithwaite as his entrance music. Taz McKane had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taz McKane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Harvey Stallion! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stallion will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A lazy left from Stallion finds it's target. Taz McKane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McKane scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A telegraphed right hand from McKane misses the target. McKane clinches with his opponent.
Stallion pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McKane gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. McKane misses the shot to the body. Stallion wants to counter the offense by McKane and move into the clinch position. McKane clinches up against the cage. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stallion has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. McKane is defending well against a takedown attempt. McKane lands with a right to the head. Stallion misses with some punches.

McKane has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McKane wants to stand but Stallion has a closed guard, so he can't escape. McKane gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKane takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Stallion ducks under a wild hook from McKane. McKane gets in close and instigates a clinch. McKane lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stallion backwards. Stallion tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McKane smiles and moves away.
Taz McKane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harvey Stallion. Stallion fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McKane, pushing him back against the cage. McKane prevents a body shot from Stallion. McKane is pressed up against the cage. Stallion has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McKane down to the mat. McKane avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Stallion shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Stallion missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. McKane keeping moving, preventing Stallion from controlling successfully. McKane pushes Stallion off and gets back to his feet.

Stallion walks into a straight right hand from McKane. Stallion lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Stallion shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. McKane lands a head shot. Stallion moves into the clinch. Still in the clinch, Stallion scores with a nice short uppercut. Stallion has clasped his hands together around McKane's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The strikes coming from Stallion are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Stallion in side control, throwing shots but McKane defends. McKane prevents Stallion from moving into mount. McKane is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Stallion asserts his dominance and retains side control. Stallion is looking to take a break and control but McKane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKane is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Stallion is controlling him well. Stallion tries to advance to mount but can't. Stallion advances to mount. Stallion controlling his opponent. Stallion throwing strikes here but McKane is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
McKane wants to get back to his feet.
McKane is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Stallion has taken his back! McKane is trying to stand back up. Stallion has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, McKane has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Well, with Stallion on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before McKane is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
That's four minutes gone in the round. McKane is trying to get back to his feet but Stallion has full control of the position and if anything, McKane has just worked his way into a worse spot. McKane covering up well and avoiding damage. McKane is trying to stand back up. Stallion misses with an elbow to the head. McKane is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Stallion is looking for the choke from the back position but McKane is controlling his hands well. McKane has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Stallion. Stallion struggling to keep hold of the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stallion lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Stallion takes a shot to the eye socket. Taz McKane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McKane bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Stallion throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McKane stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. McKane lands a jab to the nose. Stallion moves out of range as McKane strikes. Stallion defending well as McKane loads up on a big left hand. McKane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stallion manages to avoid it. McKane tries to close the distance and clinch but Stallion swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. McKane looks to land a right hand but Stallion moved out of range. McKane staying out of range there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McKane throws a hook to the side of Stallion's head but Stallion sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. McKane takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. McKane bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. McKane clinches up with Stallion and pushes him back against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stallion drops down looking for an ankle pick but McKane pulls his leg out and moves away.
Stallion walks into a jab. McKane swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Stallion. McKane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stallion moves away. McKane takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nice sprawl there from McKane as Stallion shoots in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Taz McKane will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! McKane tries to close the distance and clinch but Stallion swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stallion with the counter takedown but McKane avoids it easily. Stallion staying out of range there. Stallion uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McKane.

McKane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from McKane. Stallion does a little dance to reset his feet. McKane displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stallion throws out the jab. McKane was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. McKane cracks Stallion with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Stallion uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McKane. Stallion shoots and misses and McKane counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Stallion keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

McKane gets to his feet - Stallion follows without any prompting. Taz McKane is winning the standup battle so far. Stallion ducks right into an uppercut from McKane. Stallion defending well as McKane loads up on a big left hand. Stallion tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Stallion gets cracked there but stands up to it.
McKane scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Stallion throws a shot from downtown. McKane moves away and avoids it. McKane throws a right hand that misses
and Stallion counters with a single leg into guard. McKane didn't expect that. Stallion trying to control but McKane is working from the bottom. McKane wants to stand up but Stallion is controlling him.
And that's the end of the fight! Taz McKane showed his dominance in that final round. I think McKane has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Taz McKane! Taz McKane decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
