Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hukkelberry Flint (ranked 2135 p4p, 3245 weight class) and Danny Peterson (ranked 236 p4p, 338 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Flint might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Farmer Song. Hukkelberry Flint has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hukkelberry Flint! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Peterson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.

Flint attempts a counter takedown but Peterson avoids it well and moves away. Flint throws a poor cross that misses
and Peterson counters with a nice body shot. Flint fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Peterson manages to avoid it. Peterson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. We've been hearing reports that Flint has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Peterson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Flint half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Flint is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson misses with a body shot.
Flint lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Flint swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Flint changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Peterson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Peterson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Flint was well out of range. Poor timing from Peterson. Peterson connects with a body shot. Peterson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Flint scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Peterson tries to kick Flint off but Flint keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Flint drops an elbow to the side of Peterson's head. Flint passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Peterson! Flint lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Peterson hang on?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flint looking to control but Peterson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Peterson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Peterson is working to get back to half guard.
Peterson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Flint looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Flint wants to control the pace but Peterson is squirming around nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peterson tries to hold on but Flint pushes him away. Flint quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Flint but it's paid off an Peterson is forced to tap! Nice work by Flint.
