Almeida shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in VanWylde's guard.
VanWylde is looking for a triangle but Almeida pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Almeida must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Almeida might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control VanWylde kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

VanWylde lands a hook that stumbles Almeida back into the cage. VanWylde follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Almeida to the canvas! VanWylde pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Almeida has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
