This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Bob Brown! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Daniel Wagner! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Wagner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brown as he avoids it easily. Brown shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wagner napping and manages to drive through into side control! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Brown (4) vs (0) Wagner Brown has knee on belly and moves into mount. Score +2 for reaching mount: Brown (6) vs (0) Wagner Brown is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wagner is surviving well by controlling Brown's body position as best he can. Brown trying to control but Wagner is having none of it. Brown controlling the position easily from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wagner tries to hold on but Brown postures up. Brown trying to control but Wagner is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wagner sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Brown is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Brown tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wagner knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wagner looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Wagner is in trouble now - Brown has advanced to mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Brown (9) vs (0) Wagner The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wagner can't escape the position.

Brown looking for the RNC. Wagner just trying to survive but Brown is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Brown looking to break Wagner's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Wagner remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Brown will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Brown is looking for the choke from the back position but Wagner is controlling his hands well. Wagner trying to control but not successfully. A lull in the action here.

Wagner is aware though and is defending well. Brown looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Brown is looking for a triangle but Wagner pushes his legs off easily.
