Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex ORourke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Quarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! ORourke misses the shot to the body. Quarez has a takedown stuffed. ORourke decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. ORourke content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. ORourke with the ground and pound but Quarez uses the opportunity to regain guard. Quarez working for a triangle but ORourke defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quarez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. ORourke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. ORourke wants to pass the guard but Quarez is keeping the position. ORourke is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Quarez looking to control.
ORourke stands up from guard. Let's bang! ORourke shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quarez as he avoids it easily. ORourke feints and as Quarez raises his hands in defense, ORourke changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Quarez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

ORourke won't allow Quarez to sweep him here. ORourke postures up in Quarez's guard and throws a big left but Quarez blocks it. Quarez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as ORourke controls the pace. Quarez wants to stand and escape but ORourke is having none of it. Quarez looks gassed!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. ORourke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. ORourke prevents Quarez from getting the reversal. ORourke working for a guillotine from mount but Quarez is in no mood to give up. Quarez tries to lock up and control but ORourke gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. ORourke controlling the position easily from mount. Quarez is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quarez tries to hold on but ORourke postures up. Quarez throwing hammer fists to the chest of ORourke. What's that going to do exactly? ORourke controlling his opponent. Quarez is trying to escape the mount.

ORourke looks for a takedown but Quarez sprawls well. Quarez stuffs the takedown. Quarez throws a quick head kick that skims the top of ORourke's head. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Quarez gets caught flat footed, as ORourke shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. ORourke trying to control the position from guard on top but Quarez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quarez looking to control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. The fight moves into the clinch position. ORourke tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Quarez just stands there and leans against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex ORourke dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Quarez jumps guard but ORourke stands there with Quarez around his waist. Quarez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Alex ORourke showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for ORourke, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
