Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sindre Pain (ranked 2995 p4p, 5015 weight class) and Reaver Main (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sindre Pain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reaver Main! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Main uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pain has time to react. Main misses with a series of wild punches.
Pain fails with the takedown and Main counters with a stiff right hand. Main tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Main fails with an attempt to clinch.

Pain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Main as he avoids it easily. Main scores with a sloppy right hand. Pain should have avoided that one. Pain rushes Main and presses him up against the cage. Pain breaks from the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice uppercut lands for Main. That snapped Pain's head back.
Reaver Main seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Main looks to land a combination but Pain avoids it well. Pain moves into the clinch successfully.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Main prevents the takedown attempt.

Pain ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pain no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Pain is adopting a defensive guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pain lands a decent shot there.

Main looks winded! Pain misses with a takedown attempt - Main sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pain has a takedown stuffed. Main looks like he wants to counter punch here. Main moves to clinch but Pain breaks away and Pain counters with a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pain gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Pain pulls guard successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pain is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Main is aware though and is defending well. Pain has a closed guard, preventing Main from standing up. Main really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Main is fighting to break Pain's control of his arms but Pain is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Main is looking to stand up but Pain won't let him. Pain uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Pain throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sindre Pain will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Main tries to close the distance and clinch but Pain swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Main falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pain counters with a head kick. Main tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Main fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pain shoots in and drives through. Main sprawls well. Main throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pain. Some wild striking there from Main.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pain jumps guard but Main turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Pain successfully pulls guard.
Pain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Main defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain pulls Main in close to prevent any damage. Main is breathing heavily. Main throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pain works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pain looking for a guillotine here but Main defends easily.
Pain lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Pain sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Main's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain uses his free foot to push down on Main's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Main. Pain working away from the top, dropping strikes. Pain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pain lands a couple of good shots and Main has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Pain throwing damaging strikes from the back! Main could be in trouble here!
Pain working for the choke. Pain patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Main is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Pain gets his way!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Pain slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pain is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Main is covering up but some of the strikes from Pain are getting through and doing damage.
Good control from Pain. Pain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Main can do to turn this around? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pain is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Pain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Main defends it nicely. Main stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Main wants it to stay on the feet. Pain dodges the punch combination from Main.
Pain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pain shoots in but Main avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pain manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Pain has his foot on Main's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Main works his way back into a safe position though. Pain is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Main defends well. Pain kicks Main off and gets to his feet.

Pain pushes Main up against the cage in a clinch. Pain is looking to take this one to the mat. Pain is looking to take this one to the mat. Main tries to break the clinch but Pain is controlling the position. Main tries a body shot but Pain blocks it.

Main has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Pain is working for takedown but Main is calmly controlling the position for now. Pain is looking to take this one to the mat. Pain drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Main is trying to force a seperation but Pain has the dominant position. Pain effectively controlling the action here. Pain has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Main after a bit of a struggle. Pain leaning against his opponent.
Pain manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Pain preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Main throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sindre Pain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Reaver Main has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sindre Pain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Pain passes to side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Sindre Pain showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pain, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
