Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cebu Chon (ranked 4545 p4p, 3193 weight class) and Jock Langdon (ranked 578 p4p, 449 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cebu Chon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jock Langdon! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Langdon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chon moves away. Langdon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chon manages to avoid it. Langdon misses with a lunging right hand
and Chon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Chon misses with a head kick.
Chon throws a series of punches but Langdon avoids them all with ease. Chon attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Langdon takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Langdon blocks a leg kick. Chon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Langdon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Chon is looking to land body kicks. Langdon is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Langdon lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Cebu Chon has been cut. Chon scoring well with a low kick there.
Langdon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Langdon lands in his opponent's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Langdon with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Langdon throwing strikes but missing. Chon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Langdon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Langdon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Langdon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Chon being controlled here, momentarily. It looks like Langdon might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Chon keeping moving, preventing Langdon from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Chon throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Langdon! But no joy. The crowd cheers as Langdon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chon doesn't seem phased though. Langdon jabs at Chon's body. Chon misses with an uppercut. Langdon saw that one coming. It seemed like Langdon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Langdon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chon moves away. Cebu Chon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick by Chon misses and Langdon counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Langdon connects with a good right hand that stumbles Chon. Chon circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Chon slips under a jab from Langdon. Chon throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Langdon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Chon is rocked! Langdon lands a big elbow - Chon is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Langdon!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jock Langdon!
