Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nash Andrews (ranked 3807 p4p, 6920 weight class) and David Danis (ranked 459 p4p, 635 weight class). David Danis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nash Andrews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Danis!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Danis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Andrews.
Danis throws a combination. Andrews tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
A head kick misses from Danis.
Andrews went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Andrews throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Danis stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Andrews follows into mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Danis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Danis distracts Andrews with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Andrews had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Danis defends it easily.

Andrews looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Danis passes into side control.
Danis tries to score with some ground and pound. Andrews controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Danis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andrews keeps working.

Danis stands up and beckons Andrews to his feet.
Danis throws a push kick but Andrews slaps the foot to one side.
Andrews looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Andrews pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Danis fails with a takedown attempt.

Danis has Andrews up against the cage in a clinch.
Andrews really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Danis misses with a punch to the body.
Danis will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Andrews up against the cage.
Danis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Nash Andrews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Danis.
A frustrated look appears on Andrews's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Danis tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Andrews pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Danis tries to clinch up but Andrews circles away and keeps his distance.

A big head kick from Andrews and Danis is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Danis is rocked!
Andrews passes Danis's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Danis is still in real trouble! Can Andrews finish him?

Andrews is working for a submission of some sort.

Andrews is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Danis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Andrews.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Andrews is trying for a kimura here. Danis looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Andrews wins by kimura!
