Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Potato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nih Vitorino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nih Vitorino will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Potato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nih Vitorino!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitorino tries to close the distance and clinch up but Potato swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vitorino tries a head kick but it misses.

Vitorino misses with a jab, cross combination.

Vitorino tries to keep at a distance but Potato has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vitorino has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Potato uses from the top position.

Vitorino has his foot on Potato's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Potato works his way back into a safe position though.

Potato postures up in Vitorino's guard and throws a big left but Vitorino blocks it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Potato has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Potato there as he acknowledges the shot.

Potato drives through and clinches with Vitorino against the cage.

Potato has Vitorino pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Potato pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Vitorino tumbling to the mat - Potato dives into Vitorino's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vitorino is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Vitorino working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Potato doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Potato manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Potato feints and as Vitorino raises his hands in defense, Potato changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vitorino can't keep his opponent in guard - Potato advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
